I started photography because of the little girl beside me. When she was born in 2017, I felt time moving in a way I couldn’t hold onto. She was changing faster than I could remember—details of her face, her expressions, the way she fit perfectly in my arms slowly fading as each day passed.

Motherhood has a way of doing that. It’s beautiful and overwhelming all at once—days that feel long, yet somehow pass in a blur, and before you realize it, those moments are gone.

So I began documenting it. Because while we can’t go back, photographs allow us to hold onto what mattered most. They become a way to remember not just how it looked, but how it felt.

I’ve never once regretted taking a photo of my children. But I have felt the absence of the moments I didn’t capture—the ones I wish I could return to, even just for a second.

If I could offer you one piece of advice as a parent, it would be this:

Take the picture. Even if you don’t feel ready, even if it’s not the “perfect” time. Because one day, it won’t be now anymore—and you can’t go back.
